Director Message (主任的話)

NUK – College of Science (COS) is a college in orientation of scientific application. We have 5 institutes and set up many courses to benefit students in applied science including Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Life Sciences. Applied Science Master (ASM) Program provides international graduates not only with the curriculum that integrates essential courses of the 5 institutes, but also with the specialized faculty who have the doctorate degree from notable universities of Europe, the US as well as Taiwan. All courses are designed in full-English teaching, so that you will not suffer any barriers during study. At the beginning of this master program, you can select a professor from this program faculty as your advisor. We will make you enjoy perfect research guidance, modern learning environment, and high-tech research equipment. In addition, we ensure you have the opportunity for learning Chinese. Importantly, we guarantee each international graduate to obtain the research scholarship from the advisor.

Course Modules 課程介紹

The curriculum of ASM comprises 1 compulsory course, 18 elective courses. The compulsory is Mater Thesis with three credits.

The electives are categorized into 6 fields, including Comprehensive, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Statistics.

Except Seminar has one credit per semester, each elective course has three credits per semester.

Specially, we encourage students to work on the sponsored research project and offer students a research scholarship.

u  Duration of Study:

Students complete their program within 1-4 years, as long as achieving 24 credits.

u  Tuition:

Tuition is NTD53,000 per semester of the first two years.

From the third year on, tuition is NTD15,900 per semester.

u  Research Scholarship:

Students are encouraged to work on the granted research project and obtain at least NTD6,000 monthly as a scholarship.

u  Mandarin Learning:

Students can learn Mandarin NUK’s Chinese Language Center at privileged discount.
